Vague title is vague.

Does anyone here remember that old book, Gnomes – which pretty much started a fake zoology books for fantasy creatures revolution? We got gnomes in the 70’s and then reprinted in the 80’s (with David the Gnome, the only gnome I like to buy for my lawn. Lucky me, most gnomes are modeled after him these days.). Then we got one for dragons… and I can’t remember what else.

I appear to be writing one of these for Lyrans.

Or as Rebecca put it, the kama sutra for Lyrans.

It isn’t on purpose. I just keep thinking of these odd details for these fucking space fairies that I didn’t want to be space fairies. There’s so much about them that’s weird and quirky, and I don’t want to forget. They’re not like Lyrans in UFO lore, which are pretty Nordic with black hair being rare and prized. (Preen.) Newp. Can’t be having that.

And weirdness follows these guys. There are things about their culture I’ve had in my head since before Jr. High. Never really worried about it much. It was just there…. and then… wait… that’s… Mayan??!?

Spontaneously then I remember that hoax where a fairy grave was found in South America or… some place like that… and oh, I recall… that little corpse looked like a space fairy.

If I beat my head on my desk I’m going to break the desk. So I don’t.

Anyhoo I’ll go ahead and tell you that this is Lhung’s fiance in traditional garb. It’s not for a high ceremony. They wear masks for that…. apparently… (glares at the Smithsonian and their stupid Mayans wore masks to ceremonies article.) She is the sun. Which makes Lhung the moon, for those that never saw the earlier art. If I come across earlier art I don’t hate I’ll post it.

This is the model I made for Bride. It will take some creative tweaking to make it different enough to fit into Akashik… being as the stupid space fairies outright refused to let me make them less buglike for Bride.

P.S. This picture is all about that Lyran porn. *zips lip, looks out window*
