Taus standing on planet Random-#-14.
This might have only been a landscape image except assembling this environment became a very big PITA. I had to put Taus in simply because the sizes got way off. I mean, WAY off. Jurassic period off. She needed to stand there so I could size things a bit more appropriately.
Basically, building a to scale landscape in DAZ can be a pain. I discovered that if I put things into a group and shrink them to 10%, the area is smaller which makes it easier for me to move things about. Buuuut….. I forgot to check the prop sizes on some items. Those trees in the background are toon props I bought and imported in, then had to fix because the person who made them didn’t take such important things into account like world center… considering they’re unity props that’s not necessary. (Sure would like to be able to build scenes in unity and import them to DAZ!!! That would make it so much easier!!)
So when I “fixed” the trees I forgot to check size… and boy were they… huge. Other things fell off the scale because of that and soon I had a right mess. To top things off I broke my render engine the other day, so getting this image out was a little difficult. Oh things are kind of working, but I may have to wipe my computer – which it’s things like this are why I’m working so hard to keep Akashik’s production way way ahead of the website.
But it’s better now. And things are set so that I can move things about from render to render for the sake of aesthetic purposes.
Anyway.
On Random-#-14 you can see scars of past colonization efforts. The flora is a mix of native and Earth-like species. Fauna are bound to be the same, but with inevitable evolutionary differences. The planet is inhabited, which no doubt helps maintain the status quo.
