DAZ is removing the main render engine I use to make just about everything from Daz Studio. They have it so you can back up your old copy of DAZ and maybe reinstall, but up until just last year I never could get my computer to let me do that in a separate spot from the main DAZ program. Don’t ask me why. So if 3Delight is being removed, I’ll just take the opportunity to move myself along. I’ve been meaning to.
Unity does some things I’ve been struggling to do for years, so the re-installation of the program and third attempt to get it under my belt began. The problem is that it crashes, and taking time to learn it is slow. In the meantime I’m accepting a style change for Akashik that might stay that way no matter what happens.
I also looked into getting iClone, which has some important features the Daz people never would implement after all these years. These both are doable so long as they don’t crash. It’s simply going to take too long.
As for putting the comic up back here for people to read, the platforms I used to build the comics on are both gone.. and the one that’s available is too fucking complicated. I mean, seriously. It’s.. fucking… complicated… and that means it’s out.
However. PDFs remain a thing. So I have a plan to take this place and build it larger and cover more than just the Akashik comic itself. But first I want to finish the current chapter and get things moving along from there.
My life is low key when it comes to things, so I’m afraid that’s all the author/comic I can share… and it’s a repeat, some of it, of what’s been said on Patreon.
