Y’all know I rarely post here just to post, but today I am amused and thought I’d share what I’m doing with #akashik. Basically I’m taking the random artwork I’ve created and stuffed into places and have created an #NFT folder.
Now do cut me a little slack. Yes I’ve had about $10 of Bitcoin now for a year because, well, I wanted some Bitcoin so I managed to find a way to get a slice of it. A miniscule slice of it. It’s been sitting in it’s account doing nothing, because seriously you can’t do anything with all of $10 of Bitcoin. But it’s mine.
Enter NFTs. I’d heard about them when they first came out and weren’t common knowledge just yet, and I’d been wanting to see if I could make them. I set the other half on the problem and he found ways for me to do so, and I admit I was up for hours last night making NFTs… because it’s addictive. It’s sooo addictive. I think that fact that I don’t know what I’m doing makes it even more addictive.
It’s like sex. So addictive until you realize the hard way one of the main things sex is actually for. Then it stops being so addictive. Well, for a lot of us.
… too much? It was the only analogy I could come up with that explained the addiction.
So far in the Akashik folder I’ve added a piece of art y’all will most likely have already seen… and just now created one of my animations specifically for NFT. I put 1 of 10 up for sale to see if I could on the polychain. If they sell, maybe it will support the comic. (My bills are pretty high these days.)
Of course if they sell there’s the worry that I won’t know what I’m doing in transferring them to their new owner. Or is that automatic?
Anyway, I realized that when I drop an NFT I could announce it here because why not. I’d like to try to figure out how to do a NFT give away. I see them going on, and I’d love to do that. But according to the patreon guidelines I wouldn’t be able to do that here. So folks would have to read the website religiously, which makes sense really.
