Mundane matters like how my real world work is going aren’t something I talk about here, but today was a good day.

First, the realistic renders on this new machine are so very fast I barely have time to twiddle my thumbs as I work. I’m almost to the point I can do toon renders. We’ll see if it wows me.

I spent the day trying to upgrade Taus to the latest and greatest (and less messy), and while I was doing that my mind was on the story. Which means I figured some things out, which means I had to stop and write in my growing outline-script-thing. Which means I had to call War and give her spoilers. Whereupon we analyzed character motives and treated Akashik the way I would hope people are doing in other places: by talking about the characters, the story, the plot, etc.

And then War called what I’d figured out “beautiful” and dare I say she even said it was writing on the level of Terry Pratchett. I owe her money, so she probably just wanted to give me some butter.

And then some issues came up with my current online “job” (an item I have at Renderosity) and that took the fun away. But it was great until then!

And I can’t share my revelations with you guys, I’m sad to say. But know it will involve revisiting some pages from the previous comic incarnation. And it answers a question I had back then, as Ganji finally deigned to tell me. That rat bastard.
