This post is for random passersby who aren’t members – for you pups, you’re already so very supportive and it’s greatly appreciated.
But I also wanted this art here for the record, because it’s up on the website and it felt kind of funny not having these two places mirror each other.
Anyway, I have 20 cats. I kid you not. 20 cats. It started with the ones I had, and then one day the other half brought home a batch of kittens that someone was ready to throw out. They were black, it was late… Halloween came and that’s not a safe time to adopt out a cat… then COVID hit… and I couldn’t get the females spayed… and they had kittens of their own. So now I have 20 cats.
The kittens are fun, and loving, and yes we are looking for safe homes. (It’s just you have to be careful.)
One of the kittens, whose name is Bullfrog, is very attached to me. When he was very small, I thought he’d always be the one at the food trough. He’d see the bottle and scream. He’s eat the bottle with this tiny ears wiggling back and forth and finish it in under a minute.
But now he’s larger, the size of my hand, and all he wants is for me to hold him. Food? No, no. I want to be held by HER, he says. And he’ll purr all about it, too. So I guess he needs to stay.
I think that’s all I can say right now that doesn’t sound like a panicked squeak. On the bright side I got some script writing in today. Huzzah! Now I have to go to bed, because tomorrow is work.
