One panel. Two days in the making. I guess I’ll be shopping for RAM tomorrow. I might even wrap them up and put them under my tree. “from me to me, love me”
I had hoped I would buy myself a washing machine, but I guess I wasn’t a very good girl this year.
Standard uptade time. I’ve went back to school after a fashion so some of my time is taken. This is a language class, and as I’d already been putting the language (or one form of it) here and there into The World Akashik it will be good for everyone. My end goal might be an MA unless I can reach my goals by other means. Only the future can say on that one.
I did get a glimpse of my future through super powered means, but getting ready to board a plane to go somewhere up north I go to frequently could mean anything. (super powered shrug) 😉
Yes, The Heavenly Bride has been getting all of my attention. I actually thought I would have been done with this “tiny” errand by now, but some things cropped up. The more experienced Cerberus Pups already know that even though HB is just a side story, it’s gotten to be so damn important to the entire plot of everything that it’s super effing important. I didn’t intend for it to be that way. It just happened.
So the two humanoid forefront characters you are looking at are Ricky (his backside) and Jiu Liu. Ah, Jiu Liu! I’d tap that… This singular Jiu Liu has, whilst I’ve been getting the HB books cleaned up for public consumption, decided a whole lot about himself. He’s made himself so damn important to the World Akashik, I’m wondering why I didn’t think of it before.
Why?
Because I didn’t do enough character and world building that’s why. I didn’t want to get caught in that trap where you spend your entire life building your fictional world and die of old age before you actually write anything. I like it when my characters are organic, when they “speak” to me, and I’m allowed to watch them grow as I write. But my villains for whatever reason won’t speak to me. I have to chase them. They’re worse than Moriarty. I’ve always called them my Mental Moriarties as a result.
Jiu Liu, on the other hand, has bravely stepped forward to give me his backstory and situation. The story reshaped itself around that. And I’ve fallen head over heels in love with my own character in a way I never thought possible.
I have two chapters left to get cleaned up and ready to go. I’ve had to add two scenes so far. THIS IS THE BIGGEST REASON WHY YOU FINISH YOUR SCRIPTS, REVIEW YOUR ENTIRE STORY, SIT ON YOUR STORY, EDIT YOUR STORY AND VET YOUR STORY IN ADVANCE.
Same goes for species development. The key race int he story, the Lyrans, have been stagnant for years. Guy. I’m going to confess. I sat down and figured out how they make babies, and suddenly The story had a fuckton of motives, villains, angles, directions. Because sex.
And this crazy race of Lyrans have started to get weirder. Their idea of romance? The traumatic struggle of a queen NOT to fall in pre-arranged love, BECAUSE YOU CAN’T DENY NATURE AND THEY NEED HER TO MAKE BABIES FOR THE RACE oh geez, no first flush of true love tor THESE “most loving in the universe” sick-os! Get me started.
For the Akashik fan people I hope you understand that cleaning up and making sure of The Heavenly Bride is working on Akashik. I didn’t mean for it to be that way, I reiterate, but that’s what has happened. Jiu Liu wasn’t originally going to be in Akashik.
He just placed himself into a pinnacle position this morning. Some of Akashik can’t happen without him.
And Ricky there. Don’t worry Ricky. You’re also important.
